Fire System Testing

Fire Alarm Regulations BS5839 require the duty holder to undertake periodic checks to ensure the functionality of the system. Failure to keep the the fire alarm system in working order could lead to the local fire brigade to serve enforcement notices requiring compliance. They also have the authority to close any buildings which does not meet this act. AEL Systems use the most up to date equipment to ensure that your alarm system is functioning correctly.

Certification

AEL Systems will test and certify the design, modification and commissioning of your fire detection system to show compliance. We provide a comprehensive service for all new and existing fire alarm and detection systems in commercial premises.

In addition to the commercial services noted above, AEL Systems can deal with specific problems associated with factory, workshop and plant facilities Domestic new build properties are required to have fire detection systems as listed below:

BS5839: Pt6: 2004 recommends that a new build property consisting of no more than 3 floors (less than 200sqm per floor) should be fitted with a Grade D, LD2 system. Building Regulations in England, Wales and Scotland recommend that BS 5839:Pt6 should be followed, but a minimum Grade D, LD3 systems should be installed.
