Intrusion detection & perimeter security
Where external perimeter security is crucial, we can provide intrusion detection CCTV systems which are remotely monitored with a connection to an alarm receiving centre. Alarm receiving centres provide an out of hours service by remotely accessing and viewing CCTV systems when intrusion alarms are created, once an activation has been received the ARC can act on a predetermined escalation process including issuing audio challenges via a PA system, contacting key staff personnel or directly contacting the police
Alarms can be generated through a number of external detection device technologies including; PIR motion detectors, laser scanning sensors, video analytics within the CCTV camera or in the video management software and thermal image cameras.
Video analytics technology has increased significantly in recent years and through advance video pattern base algorithms systems are able to recognise the movement and characteristics of people and vehicles, while ignoring any activity that isn't relevant to the scene. By utilising this technology the cameras can monitor large areas for unauthorised activity or site entry 24/7/365.
Thermal image cameras have the capacity to operate and detect in areas with poor visibility, challenging lighting conditions, absolute darkness and partly camouflaged scenes. With a longer range capacity it can reduce the amount of detection equipment required to provide site security.
